How to Stay Strong – Mind, Soul and Body
I don’t need to inform you what is currently going on with the world. At the moment It seems like a terrible nightmare that doesn’t want to end.
During the crisis we must look after ourselves if you are not looking after yourself during the crisis it is time for you to create a new habit now on
How to stay strong and positive as hard as it is right now this is very important! I cannot stress this enough!
However, we have to help ourselves to stay strong so that we win this battle, I know YOU can.
Naturally, due to uncertainty of the future, stress, anger and fear is mounting up in a lot of people.
I, urge you not to allow these negative emotions to interfere with your life right now. They will not only grip your mind and weaken it, it will also cause unhealthy repercussions on your body.
The state of your mental health has huge impacts on the state of your physiological health. I want to ask you;
How is your mental health right now?
This is the time we take the effort to focus on the positive things around us, no matter how little they might seem compared to the raging crisis. The truth is, it could have been a lot worse than this.
Right now is the time to be mindful of all the things to be grateful for and all the little things we enjoy these little things are still with us and we need to focus our attention on the goodness.
If we continue to dwell on the negative, it would help no one it will only increase our troubles.
Look after your mind, it is important to ensure that your mind is in the right place. It won’t be good for you if, after the crisis, you are not able to stand up and move on because you’ve sunk into a depressed state.
Every day of your life is precious, so it is important that you don’t waste any of it.
You’ve got only one life to live, and you shouldn’t waste it away. You’ve got so much potential within you waiting to be expressed.
So, it’s important to stay strong.
The more you complain about being stuck at home, the less you are able to focus on the positive sides of being with your family and having free time to learn something new.
Appreciate that you have a roof over your head, and a family you love around you; there are many people out there who have it worse.
We all go through difficult times in our lives, and this is just another difficult time we have to face and we need to do the best we can with what we have at the moment.
Remember there are many who have lost everything and are trying to find a way to get back on their feet again, this is your chance to make do with what you have.
Here are some guides on how to take care of your mental health during the time of crisis:
Don’t allow FEAR
As I mentioned earlier, fear will only end up weakening your mind and body. Yes, there are multiple reasons to be scared, but that doesn’t mean you should dwell on it.
Stay informed about what is going on, but don’t brood on the negative news. Rather, focus on the things that are important and are within your control.
Your life is yours to control, your future is waiting to be planned out (you don’t want to get out of this unprepared); spend quality time with your loved ones.
Don’t overthink the situation
This will only get you worked up and angry. As you keep analysing everything that is going wrong, you’ll become bitter and end up in constant complaint. I understand that sometimes, it’s impossible to stop the mind from running wild; during those times, just take a walk outside in the fresh air.
It’s important that you don’t react badly to your loved ones because of your frustration, you will just end up hurting them and you.
Remember your mind is very powerful, so beware of your thinking and how you react to things.
Don’t stifle your emotions
There are times that it will get overwhelming, and you just seem stuck. Instead of bottling your worries and emotions, you should learn to channel it out appropriately.
If you feel the need to cry, do so in private or on the shoulders of your loved ones. This doesn’t make you weak or less of a person at all.
A short list of what to do:
- Find something fun and active to do. Don’t be idle all day
- Read books that are uplifting
- Watch fun, happy, feel good movies
- Go for a walk
- Ride a bike
- Surround yourself with positive vibes only
- Take periodic moments to relax your mind and just breathe
What NOT to do:
- Watch the news all day
- Watch TV shows all day
- Complain about everything
- Arguing when you don’t need to
- Eating all day
In summary, continue to LOVE one another and listen to each other with some calm and patience. Remember most of the stress comes from the way you respond to challenges or problems, even more than the problem itself.
Now is the time to change the way you see things and observe and think in a positive way. Let go of all the extra stress and worrying …
Just let it GO.
The more you let go of any negativity around you, the better you will be at focusing on the important things.
Make these moments count
Remember, I believe in you
Much Love, Ronni xx
